Description: The plant grows to 90-125 cm high with very hairy leaves and tubular yellow flowers, surrounded by white ligulets.
Color: Bluish green liquid.
Common Uses: Chamomile Moroccan is an excellent addition to skin-care products, especially creams and soaps, and shampoos and conditioners for person who has natural blond and red color hair. For aromatherapy, it has many of the same qualities as Roman chamomile, except that it has a higher percentage of azulene.
Strength of Aroma: Strong
Blends well with: Bergamot, Clary Sage, Lavender, Geranium, Jasmine, Neroli, Patchouli, Tea Tree, Rose, Lemon and Ylang-ylang.
Aromatic Scent: Chamomile Moroccan has a mild scent like straw and apples.
History: Native to northwest Africa and southern Spain, having probably evolved from the very common Ormenis species that grows all around the Mediterranean.
Cautions: Non-toxic, non-irritant, may cause dermatitis in some individuals. Do not use this essential oil during pregnancy because it is a uterine stimulant.
